NoViolet Mkha Bulawayo (pen name of Elizabeth Tshele) is a Zimbabwean author, and Truman Capote Fellow at Cornell University. She won the 2011 Caine Prize for African Writing for her short story Hitting Budapest[1] about a gang of street children in a Zimbabwean shantytown.[2] She grew up in Zimbabwe.[3] She graduated from Cornell University with an MFA.[4]
